This is an opportunity to learn about and to celebrate numerous rich and beautiful cultures that have shaped our collective character. It is also a window into our future, offering a glimpse of a world where hatred will have been replaced by the emergence of an organic, unified multi-racial community, a society that respects all and thrives on the contributions of all citizens.
The Robert S. Abbott Race Unity Institute is named for a son of former slaves who became the most influential African American publisher in the western hemisphere. The Institute was founded for the purpose of fostering relationships with peoples of varying multi-cultural backgrounds. The organization actively supports the vision of racial and religious harmony, as well as social justice, by sponsoring events throughout the year.
We warmly invite you to become a member of the Institute. Membership applications are available at our Information Table in the lobby of the Conference Center, and also on our website. Donations are greatly appreciated to help us continue Abbott’s vision. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
